Tag Your World
We’ve been having a blast at SXSW, and the highlight by far has been Stickybits. The concept is simple - tag real world objects with a Stickybit unique barcode. Then use a mobile device to tag it with links, video, images, and text - any kind of digital content. Then other people can view that content with the SB mobile app - and add to it! Things get pretty fun, pretty quickly…
Practical uses are still tbd (the service just launched last week), we came up with a couple of good (bordering on ludicrous) ideas, including rich media city tours, tag your car tire in a big parking lot (use the bitMap to find it on your phone), maybe even a virtual wedding proposal?
